Desiree is First Vice President of Diverse Client Segments at Wells Fargo Advisors.  In this role, she leads diversity & inclusion strategy development for Wells Fargo Advisors, leveraging internal and external relationships to drive team member outcomes, marketplace outcomes and diversity & inclusion advocacy.  Desiree is responsible for establishing and co-facilitating WFA’s diversity & inclusion council, providing consultation to senior leaders and collaborating with internal teams to promote inclusion.

In her previous Community Relations role, Desiree was responsible for Wells Fargo’s $4.1 million Missouri charitable budget and for setting the market’s philanthropy and outreach strategies.  She managed reputation, external visibility, corporate social responsibility and charitable giving to execute Wells Fargo’s national philanthropy and volunteerism programs.

Coleman joined Wells Fargo Advisors from the United Way of Greater St. Louis, where she led major gifts fundraising and volunteer engagement for the African-American affinity group. Earlier, she held a series of positions with the Washington, D.C. municipal government, including serving as Director of the District’s Office of Education and Workforce Development. In this capacity, she managed a team of 10 direct reports and oversaw an $11 million budget that created post-secondary education and employment opportunities for adjudicated youth.

Desiree earned a Masters of Public Administration from Syracuse University. In addition, she attained dual degrees in International Relations and Business Marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She also earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.

Desiree currently serves on the Board of Directors for Gateway Center for Giving and the Wyman Center. She resides in St. Louis city with her husband and daughters.
