Amanda joined Philanthropy Missouri as the Programs & Communications Associate in 2021. In her role, Amanda coordinates and develops evidence-based programming to equip Philanthropy Missouri members with the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to sustain and enhance their grantmaking practices.

Raised and educated within the greater St. Louis region, Amanda places social awareness, historical context, and cultural humility at the center of her work. Amanda received a Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville while cultivating a passion for civic engagement as a four-term AmeriCorps volunteer. Inspired by the ecology of human relationships, Amanda received a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Missouri- St Louis. Amanda shares her life with her amazing wife, her dog Nero, and her cat Petey “Stoop Keety” as a resident of the St. Louis Benton Park West neighborhood.
