Philanthropy Missouri (formerly Gateway Center for Giving) is pleased to announce the release of the 2020 edition of the Capital Campaign Report, which provides a snapshot of existing and contemplated funding campaigns in the St. Louis region.  This report helps to inform grantmakers about the detail and scope of major fundraising initiatives that are being considered, currently underway, or recently completed. The report also allows grant-seeking organizations to better understand the climate in which they are raising funds, and it serves as a useful tool for organizations conducting development feasibility studies.

Forty-one nonprofit organizations are listed as participants in this year’s edition. Key takeaways include a new fundraising total goal for 2020 ($534M) that is considerably lower than the total dollar goal set in 2019 ($805M). Nonprofit participants also shared the impacts of the pandemic on their longer-range development plans. Alongside the annual data analysis, this year PhilMO Members will receive a Campaign Directory with details on pending capital initiatives.
