PNC Bank has launched Project 257, an initiative that takes its name from a 2020 report by the World Economic Forum that said financial parity with men could take 257 years to achieve without intervention. PNC is contributing the funds over the course of three years to SheEO, a Toronto-based global nonprofit that provides interest-free loans to businesses owned and led by individuals who identify as women or nonbinary.
