Gwen Wurst is a senior philanthropic advisor for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. She joined the Community Foundation in 2013 and has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.
As an advisor, Gwen helps individuals, families and organizations develop philanthropic strategies to support the causes they care about most. Using her deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector, Gwen works closely with families to plan and execute custom giving solutions that align their personal values with their charitable goals. Gwen also supports regional private foundations in their grantmaking, governance and planning, while offering technical assistance to grantees.
Gwen has held several roles in the nonprofit sector around the country at health, education and art related organizations. Gwen focuses her volunteer work in food justice and sustainable agriculture.
Gwen lives in Prairie Village, Kansas with her husband, two children and two dogs.
